Extended Opening Hours

Our Opening Hours have changed, for more information please see our announcement in our opening hours section of our website.

If you have any comments or feedback you would like to give regarding this, or about anything else happening at our Practice, please email cravenroad.reception@nhs.net or call 0113 295 3530 and ask to speak with the practice manager.

Dear Patients,

Since the autumn of 2014, we have been providing early morning and weekend appointments both at the Practice and at a Hub service in Headingley as part of a scheme that was funded by NHS Leeds West CCG. Regrettably, from April 2017 the funding for this service will be withdrawn and we will need to reduce our services as a result.

We have, as a group of practices in Leeds West, secured funding from NHS England to continue extended opening hours during the week and weekend, however the funding offered is much less than we have previously received. The reduction in funding is around 60%.

What will change?

  • We will have fewer early morning appointments (between 7am and 8am) and those provided will be from our Craven Road Surgery

  • Weekend appointments will move from our Headingley Hub, which will close, and will be hosted at Hyde Park Surgery (Saturdays) and Burley Park Medical Centre (Sundays)

  • There will be fewer appointments available in line with the reduced funding

Whilst we are very sad to lose so much of the funding for these services, we are happy to be able to maintain our 12hrs per day, 7 days per week service if only on a reduced basis. We know this will have an impact on our patients' ability to get an appointment that is convenient to them, but we are doing all we can to make sure that the services we offer are available to those who need them, when they need them.

Please contact our practice manager if you have any queries regarding these changes: lisa.boardman@nhs.net

Kindest regards,

Drs Sheerman-Chase, Dyer, Bolland, Kolpanowicz, Hickman & Polcaro
